The Family Hubs model is delivered as a ‘Hub and Spoke’ model with a main family hub located in each area providing children and families with an integrated early help prevention offer and satellite hubs where services can be deployed as needed. Within in this area, we also provide services within our Guisborough Family Hub and our Whitecliffe Family Hub, based in Carlin How. Each of the Family Hubs brings together council services, including family hub support staff, health visitors, school nurses, targeted intervention officers, careers and NEET Advisors, and key workers.
As a family hub team, we work closely with our inhouse health visiting service providing support and services for families which include breastfeeding support, health messages, child development and school readiness activities, parenting, and whole family support to families with children under 8 years old. Our Early Help Keyworkers provide whole family working support to families with children 0-18. We work closely with partners to provide spaces to deliver their services and currently provide physio and speech and language appointments. ‘The Link’ for emotional support for young people.
We currently have 5 private day car providers on site which provide childcare to the community including the 2-year offer places.
