The South Locality model consists of three Family Hubs; Denaby & Conisbrough, Mexborough and Rossington. These sites provide a main base in the area for the majority of workers; hot desks and room booking facilities are available for partner agencies also. Business Support Officers ensure accessibility of the Hub by operating the receptions daily, during opening hours. A multi-agency service offer is available across the Locality including both in and through the Hub buildings and the surrounding areas via delivery in community venues. Partner agencies are also able to access Family Hub buildings out of hours as and when required. Doncaster Family Hubs are considered the ‘place to go’ in the community for families to access a wide range of services, support, advice and information. This includes a signposting provision to other support services that are also available to them.
Early Help – For families with additional or more complex needs to prevent problems from getting worse by providing support to families when the need is identified or as soon as a problem emerges. This can be at any point in a child’s life, from conception, through childhood and into adolescence. It can also prevent further problems arising by building resilience with families to find their own solutions in the future.
Stronger Families Programme – Families are supported to improve their lives applying a ‘whole family’ approach with services being coordinated via a lead worker. Tackling the issues they face and building their resilience; through this there will be a reduced demand on high cost services by identifying and supporting earlier.
Clear referral pathways for all services are in place and easily accessible including online.
