Family Hubs bring people and organisations together to work in partnership to help families in their communities. As local authorities develop plans to improve the provision of family help through Family Hubs, churches, other faith organisations and the wider voluntary and community sector need to know how their work can benefit from these changes.
‘Welcoming families – Transforming Lives’ is a webinar, hosted by Care for the Family, to inspire and inform churches about Family Hubs, how to build trusted relationships with local authorities and work together to benefit families.
The agenda includes…
Rachel Dyer will tell the story of Yeovil Community Church’s Family Hub, The GateWay, and its role in the community.
Ian Soars will explore the pathways that churches might take, as they consider their post pandemic mission, and share Fegans and Spurgeons’ learnings through experience.
Jenny Peters will describe how St Mary’s Church, Bryanston Square, London, has worked with Westminster City Council to build a trusted relationship, focused on making a difference for the disadvantaged families which together they support.
Avril McIntyre will reflect on the opportunities and challenges, and the questions churches might consider as they decide on their next steps.
