Here at the Central Family Hub we offer emotional and practical support for parents/carers of children aged 0 -19 years.
For parents carers of the under 5’s we offer Antenatal and Postnatal courses, Baby Massage, Baby groups, Breastfeeding support, Stay, Play and Learns, Bookstart corner.
We run a variety of Family Learning courses including: BOOST, Time out for Parents, Webster Stratton – Incredible Years, 5 Ways to Wellbeing
The Family Support Workers have a wide range of experience and can further support with sleep, toileting, introducing solids and parental conflict.
Our family hubs offer a range of experiences for families with children. These include learn and play sessions, baby massage, health visitor clinics, English language classes, sleep workshops, parental conflict workshops, yoga classes with creche facilities and much more.
For families with older children we support them in accessing appropriate agencies such as Time to Talk, SAFE, Kooth older children and young people we signpost to offer access to youth provision and are here to help young carers. We also offer support to families who have special educational needs and disabilities.
Creating a hub for families has helped ensure that toxic stress is reduced for children or young people and that they have the best start in life.
The hub does direct work with under 5’s and offers signposting and information for 5-19’s.
The hub is open from 08.30 – 16.30 Monday to Friday and operates an open door policy.
